You are no fool, so you ask the genie if he is going to trick you. You know these beings have a reputation of trying to grant their master's wishes in ways the master never would have wanted. And it always ends badly for the master.

The genie tells you "No, I am not going to trick you. I am duty bound by the genie counsil to grant your wishes as you ask me of them. All I can ask of you is to make your desires clear to me so I can grant your wishes as you desire".
