“Are you Lana’s mom?” Some kid asks, referring to Lana Vickers, one of your peers.
“Yes I am,” she confirms.
You can’t believe it given how young she is, but you just do your work and then play on your phone until she calls you to her desk.
“I was told I need to keep you after class to make up an assignment,” she says.
