The day before the wave you go out with your mistress. During dinner you slip something in her drink that knocks her out. You then tie her up, gagg her and leave her trapped in your cars trunk.

The next day when it comes time to evacuate with your wife, you take the car on a little used trail. There you stop shortly before the wave hits, you open the trunk and call your wife over.
