The fireball blows out glass shards from the window at high speeds, ripping into your skin and killing you instantly. The event is publicly masked from the world news as a "freak accident" and your death took a fair chunk of money out of Gabriella's pockets just to pay off the liability. The main reasons for the ambiguity of the situation came from the fact shrapnel took out the nearby security cameras holding any possible evidence and that the guards held no solid evidence you were involved in causing the incident (your lock picking stuff was also destroyed in the blast). Thankfully the fire was stopped quickly and no one else was hurt, besides the islands reputation.
