Following up behind, the guards show up and catch you, apparently your trap didn't distract them for long enough. Since all you've done to this point is trespass, they just kick you out of the building and give you a stern warning to never do that again. You reluctantly agree and walk away.
Yeah, you may have seen some stuff that was real iffy, but you didn't get the evidence so nobody would ever believe you, plus it's really not worth risking getting chased down by a billion dollar company. 'oh well...' you think as you walk back to the resort.
