You find the device that's responsible for causing the shift. As you pick it up, your mind is flooded with knowledge as to it's uses.
You can now swap bodies with anyone you want anywhere in the world, the device will follow you to your new body.
You can also swap other people how ever you want, only need to be within 10m of one of your targets. You don't need to have a clear person in mind for your second target, just think about what you want the secondary target to be like and the device will find a match for you.
You can also use the device to merge yourself and others with full control over what the "new person" shall inherit from all the parties involved. All the targets must be in a 5m radius from you.
If you wish you can blend people together instead of completely merging or swapping people. Take away someones memories and give them to someone else, exchange peoples personalities, exchanging physical attributes and so on.
You can use this to create your ideal person with elements taken from many or evenly mix two or more people to turn them into identical twins.
Purely mental changes are subject to the same limitations as body swapping.
Anything physical is subject to the same limitations as merging.
Lastly you can use the device to implant your mind into the body of someone else, become a hive mind of sorts. however you must be within 1m of your target for this to work. Undoing any and all of these transformations is now possible.
