"Here's how it works..." explains the genie. "First, I'll give you a dare. It may be embarrassing, or something that takes a little bit of time, but every challenge will be possible for you to accomplish if you choose to accept it. When you complete the dare, I'll grant you a wish. Make sense?"
You nod and start thinking of your wishes, which begs the question "How many wishes will I get? Do I keep getting more wishes if I take more dares?"
"You can have up to three..." explains the genie "Once you hit three, I will disappear along with the lamp no matter what. Of course, you can always send me away before you get to three wishes as well. If you want to back down from a dare, just tell me and I'll go away. I'd rather do that than have you start the dare and then decide part way through that you don't want to do it anymore. So, are you ready to get started?"
