You really don't know why you stayed... It looks like you're alone. You're about to go back home when you hear some weird noise... It sounded like it came from the ground. It's kind of scary but you lay down to try to hear that again. The sound is more clear and you can distinguish some voices:
"-need... protect... wave...
-think... found... way..."
You can't understand what they're saying and you wonder where those voices come from. Are those voices coming from hell? Suddenly, you remember that your school has a basement. The students are forbidden to go there but with the panic in the world and the school almost desert, you guess you can try to enter it.
You think you saw the basement door once or twice and you go there. Apparently, you have a good memory since you quickly find the door. You can hear the voices. They are definitely coming from the basement.
You don't want to get caught so you slowly open the door and take a glimpse inside the basement. You thought you were going to see a bunch of school books, some chairs and a few tables but there was nothing. The basement was empty... except for a few people. You look attentively and recognize all of them: there were a 3 teachers, the shool principal Mr. Obey, your class' nerd Martin, the school bully Jake, the popular girl of the school Kat and a scientist that came to do a presntation at one of your physic class... what was his name again? Oh yes... Mr. Zweistein.
Martin was manipulating a strange machine. You heard Jake:
"-This has to work. There is no way I become a bitch like her!
-Hey! I'm not a bitch!, protested Kat, I'm just... often in need, I guess.
-Don't worry Jake, Mr. Zweistein verified all calculations twice, said Martin. It's just a shame that we can't tell all the students.
-It has to stay secret Martin, said Mr. Obey. If too much of our students don't transform, the governement will ask us too many questions. They might force us to work on an antidote that might just make things worse.
-I must ask you Mr. Obey, started your History teacher Mr. Hill, why did you choose us of all teachers to be safe of the wave?
-I chose you three because you are the strictest teachers of our school and I was worried that a change of your appearance would make your autority towards student decrease. And with the chaos that the wave will create in all schools, I thought we would really need some authority figures."
You understood that this small group somehow found a way to protect themself from the wave. You just couldn't understand why Jake and Kat were here. Maybe they found out about the principal's plan. Martin didn't really know how to keep a secret... Jake must have threatenned Martin or the principal to be part of the group of privileged people and Kat just couldn't abandon her really feminine beauty. Anyway, this might be your chance to be protected from the wave... Or maybe you could tell someone about this incredible machine...
