You shake your head.
“I actually think this suits you...I think I’ll make it an even better fit.”
You see her face drain of color as you open up her profile. “Don’t you dare mess with me any further! If you do I’m gonna...I’m gonna...”
“Gonna what?”
“Ugh! Just stop!” She’s screaming at you now, and she looks like she’s going to cry soon.
Poor thing.
If she’s a cheer girl, she might as well act the part. You start with her name. Addilyn is sounds too weird. And too formal. You decide to change that.
/Addilyn’s name has always been Jennifer, but she prefers Jenni and draws a heart over the i because she loves her cute name/
Jenni enters a trance for just a moment as reality changes, but breaks out after blinking her eyes rapidly.
“Oh my head hurts...” she groans.
“Just relax Jennifer. Your name has always been great.
“It’s Jenni,” she hisses. I’ve always been Jenni, you know that. But now I got this weird feeling...saying that name feels weird...you are screwing with my head! You changed my name, you had to! It was something else before! I don’t know what else you are changing, but you better stop!”
You laugh. This is just the tip of the iceberg. She’s clever for figuring it out. You debate what should be changed next for a moment, but you decide that she doesn’t need to be so smart now given her new focus on life. You figure that being a cheerleader put a damper on her aspirations to be an engineer; she wouldn’t have to be such a brainiac anymore.
IQ: Reduce from 121 to 91
Jenni staggers back a bit as her brain is thoroughly drained. She regains balance momentarily with a giggle.
“Whoopsie! I, like, almost fell!” She squeals in a voice about an octave higher. “But, like, you’re still being a total meanie! Gosh, I’m such a ditz but, like, now I feel like maybe I wasn’t? I *giggle* dunno!”
Now she talks like a valley girl and acts as dumb as a brick. Perfect. She’s barely able to realize you are changing so much...so much stuff about her entire life, not just how she behaves. You decide to give her one more push. You want to give her a new personality.
/Jenni acts like she rules the school. She’s super flirty and bubbly but also knows she’s the queen bee. She loves who she is and is a typical dumb blonde cheerleader/
You watch as Jenni’s confused face turns into a happy one as joy pulses through her. She waves her pom poms around in delight as the changes finish.
“Oooh I feel, like, sooooo good...but don’t I, like, always?” She says with a smile. “Like, why are you here again? It doesn’t matter because, um, practice was canceled anyway so I’m not doin’ much...hehehe...”
“I thought you were mad about something,” you say. “Don't you remember?”
She paused. “Like...um...didn’t you do something to me? Like, make me different? I *giggle* dunno but-”
She’s lost. You don’t need to see anymore. Checkmate.
/All previous changes are now unnoticed/
Now, for sure, it’s like Addilyn never existed.
