You begin to walk through the house but you are suddenly blinded by a bright light. When you look again, you can see that a lady has appeared in a black dress with a witch hat on her head, holding a glass of what appears to be wine. The lady confronts you, asking who you are and what you were doing in her manor. You explain your situation, how this was a mistake, and how you just want to leave. The lady sighs as she begins to walk towards the front door but stops.

The lady turns to you, saying how she wants to make things interesting of course, since its Halloween and how since the Great Shift is almost upon this location in only about half an hour. She explains how she wants to have some fun too, how she can found she could control the Shift to a degree, and how she will make sure its effects work until dawn. She then states where you come in, where all you have to do is survive unchanged by her, the "residents" or the various items until dawn. You try to beg her to just let you go but before she left, she simply laughs as she says she hopes to see you around before blows you a kiss and disappearing.
