After a couple moments of silence, Brih-Tanee finally has a wish.
“Being a genie sounds awfully lonely,” she says slowly. “I think I want to make you a human. A successful one, too. That way you’ll have, like, a good life and stuff. I have all I could want, because my life sucked before you showed up. You won’t be stuck as a genie anymore; I’ll take your place, or whatever.”
A HUMAN? You don’t know how to even feel about that; you aren’t 100% sure if you want to give up your geniehood, even if it would mean a good life. You try and stop Brih-Tanee, but you can only jumble your words.
“Oh! Um...I, uh...maybe-just-”
“No need to thank me,” she says, blushing at your stuttering. “I wish...you were in the body of a very successful human woman!”
You have no choice but to snap your fingers. After being blinded by a bright light, you find yourself standing in a small office. Though you know you are still female, your body feels so different. Looking down, you see you are in an older, slimmer, and far less busty body. You feel your hair, now shorter and brunette, up in a ponytail, and with your pale hands you feel your cold, bony face. Seeing a mirror out of the corner of your eye, you see that you are a 30-something businesswoman in office clothes, but you have no memories of being her and you are now realizing that you are likely stuck as this new woman for the rest of her life, trapped in a new body and denying this woman the chance to live her life.
Well, at least your life is successful like Brih-Tanee said.
