Talking to Brandon in secret about what you knew about the secret only you two shared between yourselves, it was the only straw that you could think about. The surprise in his eyes, that you actually knew about it, threw him offguard.
Still he didn't seem to be convinced, but the further you talked, the more he was inclined to believe you. When he asked you a question on a follow-up in order to ensure that you didn't trick him, you knew luckily the answer that would pretty much throw away most of his doubts.
You knew, it wouldn't be easy. Even yet, the two friends weren't really sure what to think about the whole situation, when Brandon returned to Kevin and explained to him, that you seemed trustworthy regarding your reasoning.
For the moment however, it was enough to convince the two of them to leave the cursed school building be and to just take you home. And while you would still need to think about stuff like your ID, your family and other factors, that might make this situation a lot more complicated than it initially seems, you are for now at least glad, that these two seemed to believe you for now.
Holding Brandon's hand briefly in trust, before letting go of it, you went inside the car on the same seat from which you departed. During the ride home, you could still see, that both your pals seem to muster you from time to time suspiciously, still uncertain if they did the right thing in believing you, but for now it was at least over.
Despite your fate, you had no intention to return towards the cursed bathroom.
Something inside you told you however with a slight glance over to Kevin, who had taken the broken camcorder into his position, the moment you tried to proof things, that at least one person would return to this place.
Looking down in shame, you sighed silently, still unused to your new voice.
At least you were able to save Brandon, no matter what would follow after that.
Your further future though... that would be another chapter.
Perhaps another tale for another time.
