You and Sydney fire your weapons at the horde, you manage to defeat the 3 infected, you and Sydney decide to head back to base.

You both chat with one another back at the shelter, turns out that Sydney is half infected, she tells you not to worry as it appears that it didn't spead after she was grabbed, she then tells you this happened last night when you were sleeping. You seem to adore her look, consisting of a human body and long inkling like tentacles as hair, that still is soft and silky and despite being tentacles it is covered in hair. Her eyes appear to have a line in between them despite her eyes still being human eyes. It seems that she got her look when you were heading back after the horde encounter. She says she might be immune now that it stopped. You chat for a while and begin to grow a bond with each other you and Sydney both go to bed. You and Sydney wake up the next day, Sydney looks at her reflection in the water and realizes that she has inkling teeth, she then tells you that she's worried about her family, you decide to comfort her. You then both contemplate what to do next
