Years pass as you and Sydney grow closer and closer. the shelter you built, now a fortress is impenetrable to the infected. You eventually find wedding rings on one of your expeditions, and propose to Sydney. Sydney says yes, and you two live a beautiful happily ever after as husband and half cephalopod wife, while the rest of the world succumb to the infected, one by one, the world doomed once you both perish from old age.
