The first path leads to a clearing with a massive pool surrounded by trees.
Upon approaching it, the pool seems to reflect an image of whatever you think. After testing it, it appears to lead into another realm of existence based on the image currently shown. If you want to take the plunge, despite the risk, you could always just jump in.
