"Bella is your daughter," Gordon says.
"My... Bella is my daughter," she states. Your memory changes as your hair turns from brown to blonde. Instead of not knowing Mrs. Cox, no, your mother because she was just some neighbor, you don't really know her because she doesn't care about you. Ever since you were born, your mother has kind of just left you with the Nanny.
"You had her when you were 16," Gordon says.
"I had her when I was 16," she says. You grow taller and your hips and boobs mature to match your new age of 24. Now you've always been ignored as the shame of the family. When Mr. Cox met your Mom, she was only 16 and he was in his 20s or 30s (you don't really talk to him). They had sex for one reason or another, but when your mom got pregnant, he married her. You suppose it was nice of him to stick around and not be a deadbeat which he never forgets to remind you whenever you see him. You were still raised by a nanny, but now you know your parents even less.
"I'm Mr.Cox," Gordon says.
"You are Mr.Cox," Carter repeats. He pretty much just takes over for the life of Mr.Cox, nothing much actually changes.
"It is a good thing our daughter loves us so much, otherwise she'd never come home," Gordon says.
"Our daughter loves us," she repeats with a bit of a smear. Where you had contempt before at the parents who annoyed you, you can only feel love. Perhaps they always treated you like crap, but they're still your parents, so you can't help but love them. If you didn't (since your 24 now) you'd never come home.
He turns to you with a devious glint in his eyes.
