Time has passed and you had endured the following decades as the woman who was known as Lillian Baker.
In fact, it was hard to believe that it could have been any other way in your life at all.
As you sat on the bench, that was in front of the former school plaza, you tried to piece together whether this past of yours was just something that came with demence and hallucinations that were rooted within the incident from back then.
Yet, even up to this point, you kept yourself convincing that you had been indeed someone else, a boy trapped in the body of a woman.
However, you nontheless had grown into becoming a woman.
It was ironic that so much had changed within this world around you with the exception of the building site in front of you. Many historic events had taken place, some more familiar than others, that you even yourself weren't sure if it was playing out similiarly to the way how it was playing out in your time.
So much that you had known from your younger days had already been forgotten.
Instead much more vibrant memories were not only your childhood days and your college days from the time you assumed you had lost, but as well the relationships you formed as Lillian.
The good moments, the first time you made career as her and overall the enjoyment you had as living your life as a woman.
Sure, you had your odd moments and when it came to several attempts of yours to predict the future or even trying to find advantages of stuff that you seemed to know ahead of everyone else, you earned yourself quite the illustrous reputation as someone wearing a tinfoil hat.
Even if some of your predictions came true, just not necessarily though in the form of how you remembered it.
But well, it was to some degree fun being a lunatic.
An individual that went through many hard times, but managed to stay on top, even during troublesome times.
Yes, certainly you realized at this point, that not only you had changed, but the world around you, too.
This wasn't the same world you once knew, of that you were certain.
And yet...
From the distance you saw a car arrive at the building site. The colour seemed familiar, even if your eye sight wasn't the best these days now. But even in your 80s you were still certain, that you saw three young men leaving the car, them being obviously thrilled at visiting this old, nearly forgotten landmark at the outskirts of the town.
To some degree you swore, that they looked familiar to you. Especially the one, that sorta reminded you of someone, you once knew.
Was the circle coming to a close...?
You didn't bother to think about it further, standing up from your place.
Nah, probably your mind playing tricks again. This person there wasn't you. You are Lillian Baker and the foolish activities of these youngsters aren't your concern anymore.
Despite the tragedies you endured, you knew that you wouldn't trade the life you expierienced for another, even if there was the slight possibility that you could prevent it. But for what prize?
You turned around, your way leading you home and away from these youngsters.
Whatever these three guys were up to, this was not of your concern anymore. After all you were not responsible for their foolish decisions.
And thus, you left the scene, your mind at peace with yourself.
For neither the past nor the future concerned you at all.
