Turns out there is two scientists on the other end, they tell you that they're surprised that a survivor managed to make it in the laboratory and repower it, then they warn you that there's an infected next to you. You tell them in an angry tone that not only is she immune but she is also your girlfriend. They apologize and tell you, well if she's immune then we can make a cure for the infection, this cure would stop the infection, but would turn every human being an infected into half cephalopod creatures. They tell Sydney that she'll have to put a syringe up into her vaginal area and put the DNA into the console and when done, the scientists would put it into the water supply, because for some strange reason, the infected can go into water unlike the inklings and octolings from splatoon.

They then say "before Sydney puts the syringe up her vaginal area, we ask you to use a syringe to get out your DNA , because you're a male , if you combine your blood with Sydney's, the species will be able to survive." They then ask you, "what is your choice?"
