You and Mei go back and forth for a few minutes. She wants to destroy it and be done with it, but you (knowing the power the pendulum holds) are more hesitant.
"Why is this so hard for you to understand? Break it into a million pieces and we'll never have to deal with it again!" Shouts Mei, getting particularly heated.
"But Mei, we are smart enough where we could responsibly use it for good!" You counter. "Imagine us using it to help people! We could even use it to help ourselves and heal our friendship!"
"Friendship? Please. At this point we better stop the charade."
"Mei, come on!" You plea. "We were best friends before Gordon stepped in. I can still faintly remember it. Wouldn't you want that to at least be made better? We can do it!"
Mei says nothing, clearly mulling it over...
